The Rustom Merwanji Alpaiwalla Memorial Awards were constituted in 1973, as a mark of tribute to NAB's Founder President late Barrister Rustom Merwanji Alpaiwalla.
Presented annually on January 19 – the Foundation Day of NAB - these awards honor people who have made outstanding contribution to education, training, placement, rehabilitation, administration of blind welfare activities, and other such activities that have positively influenced the lives of visually impaired persons.
Given in two categories – Professional and Voluntary – this Award carries a scroll of honor and a cash prize of Rs.10,000. |
