NurseryStarted on the 15th of August 1969, the Mata Lachmi Nursery was the first nursery for the blind in India. The aim of the nursery is to impart basic skills in reading and handling daily tasks, cultivating physical dexterity and preparing them for school and further education.
Open to children from the ages 2.5 to 5 years. The nursery admits students from all parts of India.

The education teaches the children reading skills in Braille, basic number calculations, music, handicrafts and simple pottery. The nursery offers physical training to develop flexibility of muscles and maintain fitness.

NurseryAfter a period of 2-3 yrs these children are sent to either special schools for the blind or integrated education programs.
