 |
Living alone in a society that still remains entrenched with preconceptions and has an immature understanding of the difficulties that aged men encounter everyday can lead to languor combined with depleting health hazards.
In 1970, NAB established the NAB Lions Home for The Ageing Blind at Khandala to fulfill the socio-economic needs of the Ageing Blind men. Since then, the home has been a benefactor for abundant blind and partially blind men. In a manner and warmth just like home, it offers all basic amenities and a lifestyle conducive to a healthy mind and life.
The home admits everyone above the age of 50. As a resident of the home, NAB will provide:

Blind persons coming from rural areas are motivated to take part in growing vegetables, fruits, on the plot belonging to the home. As an incentive a nursery has been developed for the sale of plants.
